Today I woke up thinking "We've got to do something fun today!" So I said to Sean that we should go to a zoo. I said "folsom" but Sean said "Sac". I was reluctant to go to Sac just because it's 30 minutes away... I felt a little lazy to drive that far... but Sean talked me into going to Sac zoo and since I'd never been to that one, I said "alright".
Turns out Sac zoo is freakin' awesome! It wasn't so big but not too little. Just the perfect size for the fam. Matt was loving it, too. (Although we think that Matt was more obsessed with the map of the zoo more than the actual animals. But either way, he seemed to be having a blast.)
See that map that Matt's holding. He wouldn't let go and told us which direction we needed to go to see a "pond". But from all the cute faces you see in the pictures above, I'd say he had a lot of fun today.
And of course, Aaron did, too. He wasn't fussy at all... We started putting him in the stroller without his carseat and he absolutely loves being able to look around and see what's going on around the world. He wasn't really into animals this time, though, more into people, I'd say.
Our Aaron is growing up so fast!
And my goof boy, Seanie had fun. I know this because he said so. He's definitely an outdoorsy guy. He always wants to be out and doing stuff. So I think he was happy to be out and see the animals with the kids... and me!
I think Matt's favorite was Lion (although he says it was the giraffes but he stared at the girl lion for a long time! My favorite was the anteaters... I don't think I'd ever seen them before, not even on TV. I was amazed by them. They were so cool looking!
And I had a great time, too. I was having a blast taking pictures of my kids. That was the fun part of it for me, lol!
After the zoo, Sean and I said we should try and do things like this biweekly. It's an excellent idea.. just hope we can keep up with it. We were so glad to be out in the sun. It was a really nice day out, too. We're going to the pumpkin patch next Wednesday, so we are excited about that, too!
