Matt can write!

We went to Chevy's tonight and Matt got his "children's menu" He grabbed a crayon and started writing or in Matt's word - "drawing" his name. I didn't help at all. He just wrote M.A.T.T. See how perfect his "M" looks. Incredible. He's only three years old but he knows how to write his name and even mine. He's so smart!! So proud of him. 


He's been so smart about letters and numbers. He does simple addition now. I ask him 2 plus 3 and he uses his fingers to figure it out. We've been working with him with math and writing lately.. He's showing a lot of interest in them. 


He also loves reading big kids books - not chapter books but thick books like "The Wizard of Oz" and other story books with very little pictures. Sometimes I think 'oh, he's not getting it. maybe it's too early to start reading books like this.' but the next day, I ask him if he remembers what had happened, he answers me correctly every time. So I guess he is listening and understanding... Phew. I was always good with books and language, my mom says, so I'm hoping that Matt will continue to show interest in them.
